Body-Safe Materials: What the Labels on Intimate Products Mean

Material is the most important line on an intimate product listing, and the one most often written vaguely. Here is what the common terms mean.

## Silicone

Non-porous, easy to clean, and stable over time. Body-safe silicone is the standard for reputable products. It does not hold onto residue the way porous materials do, which is why it is the material to look for first.
